Course Fees (effective July 2015):
Regular PALS Provider Course (PP):
Prerequisite: Current Heart and Stroke Foundation Approved BLS Provider.
Registration fee is $675.00 per participant.
PALS Renewal Course (PR):
Prerequisite: Current Heart and Stroke Foundation Approved BLS Provider AND
Current PALS Provider (maximum time: 2 years from last provider or renewal course)
Registration Fee is $375.00 per participant.
*Replacement PALS Provider manuals can be purchased separately (if required) at a charge of $75.00 (includes shipping within Manitoba).
Registration deadline is four weeks (28 days) before the start date of the course. Our goal is to have course materials mailed to you at least two weeks prior to the course start date unless another arrangement is made.
Mailing information provided on the online registration form must be accurate. This address is where we will be mailing your course materials and each participant needs to have read and understood their course materials prior to taking the course. In the event that incorrect or non-current mailing information is provided and the materials mailed out are returned to us, the participant will be charged an additional $25.00 administrative fee for EACH additional mailing attempt.
Cancellations & Refunds:
Cancellations received before the course registration deadline will be provided a refund of the course amount paid minus a $50.00 administration fee. We cannot offer refunds for cancellations occurring after this deadline.
Other important information:
Please note that the Heart and Stroke Foundation regulations require that ALL participants in PALS courses have a current BLS certification from a Heart and Stroke Foundation approved provider. Non-Heart and Stroke Foundation approved courses are not sufficient as a pre-requisite. A copy of the participant's Level C (HCP) BLS provider card is required and should be included with the participant's registration documentation.
The American Heart Association and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada have released the updated the PALS guidelines on October 15, 2015. The new materials will ship in October 2016. All courses from November 2016 onward will utilize the 2015 guidelines and the 2015 version of the PALS provider manual.
